Grand Island's Competitive Soccer Teams
The Grand Island Soccer Club provices the opportunity for soccer teams to play in the Nebraska Soccer League (NSL). Through the game of soccer, the NSL will promote, provide, and support the development of team and individual growth-to enhance the practice of sportsmanship, ethics, and integrity as the fundamental basis of competition.
Teams may choose to play either in the Fall, Spring, or both. Teams can also play in tournaments throughout the year.
Nebraska Soccer League (NSL) Team Registration Forms
NSL Team Registration forms for Fall 2008 are now available. The easiest way to register is by going on-line at www.nsle.com and filling out the form.
Be sure to use mtharnish@gmail.com as the club email. This makes sure that Mark knows you have registered a team with NSL.
If you prefer to fill out a paper form, contact Mark and he can send you one.
"Intent to Form a Team" Deadline is past
The Nebraska State Soccer Board of Directors approved new rules regarding team formation that take place immediately. To view the complete team formation policy and to fill out and submit the application click on, "Intent to form a Team" . The deadline was May 1, 2008 by 6:00 p.m. for the 2008-09 seasonal year which runs from August 1 to July 31.
Approvals after May 1st will be handled on a case by case basis by the State Director of Coaching. If your team missed the deadline, you need to contact Matt Howe.
